 Bria Porter a junior at Calvary Day School

Quira, a senior forward at Calvary Day School, scored her 1000th career point on January 7th in a victory over Treutlen County. Porter only needed two points in the game and broke the milestone early in the game. Quira went on to score 20 more points. 

Porter has been a force the past three years for Calvary Day School. Quira, as a junior last year earned All-Region 3-A (East) first-team honors and was selected to the first team All-Savannah Greater basketball team by the Savannah Morning News in 2016.

Oronte' Anderson

Oronte’, a senior guard at New Hampstead High School, scored 29 points and dished out 8 assists in a big overtime win over Islands High School 79-77 on December 10, 2016. Anderson has scored over 1000^th career points and is the all-time leading scorer for the Phoenix.

Oronte’ received several awards as a junior being named to the 1st team Savannah Morning News 2015 - 2016 All-Savannah Greater basketball team. In addition, Anderson was selected to the All-Region 3-AAAA 1st team and participated in the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association Junior All-star game in 2016.

Wetherington Chiropractic Clinic Athlete of the Week of 12.17.16 – Justin Cave

Justin Cave

Justin, a senior forward at Islands High School, poured in 31 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and had 6 assists in a big region over HV Jenkins High School on December 6, 2017. This year Justin is averaging 20.5 points per game, 7 rebounds and 4 assist. Cave is the all-time leading scorer for the Sharks as he surpassed the 1000^th point total last year as a junior. 

Justin last year was named the 1st team Savannah Morning News 2015 - 2016 All-Savannah Greater basketball team. Also, selected to the All-Region 3 AAA 1^st team and participated in the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association Junior All-star game in 2016.
