Guess Who the Top SEC QB in 2017 Is?

The SEC Football Conference has been noted as a running back led conference. Some experts say this quarterback class of 2017, might just make the difference which team wins the SEC title. This year's preseason conference ranking by AthlonSports.com was as follows;
1. Jalen Hurts, Alabama
2. Jarrett Stidham, Auburn
3. Austin Allen, Arkansas
4. Nick Fitzgerald, Mississippi State
5. Jake Bentley, South Carolina
6. Shea Patterson, Ole Miss
7. Jacob Eason, Georgia
8. Drew Lock, Missouri
9. Kyle Shurmur, Vanderbilt
10. Malik Zaire, Florida
11. Danny Etling, LSU
12. Quinten Dormady, Tennessee
13. Stephen Johnson, Kentucky
14. Kellen Mond, Texas A&M

So, after two weeks a surprise quarterback has emerged out of Vanderbilt, Kyle Shurmur. Shurmer got red hot at the end of the 2016 season, and he has continued this year after two games. Kyle leads the conference quarterbacks with a passer efficiency rating of 217.

Close is the signal caller out of Ole Miss Shea Patterson who has a passer rating efficiency of 211 and has thrown for more than 400 yards more than Shumer. Patterson has thrown for over 900 yards this season. As far as for the preseason #1 QB Jalen Hurts of Alabama. Jalen sits at number nine. A surprise at ten is freshman Jake Fromm, who has taken over the starting spot for Georgia. Georgia preseason starter Jacob Eason got knocked out in game number one with a knee sprain. The quarterback chart was assembled by espn.com.

Week two will be interesting as Vanderbilt goes to Kansas State in Kansas, and Ole Miss travels to California to battle the Golden Bears. Shurmer and Patterson will be tested. Do they hold their spots or who will sit on top next week as the top SEC quarterback?
