Gnats to Hold National Anthem Auditions Saturday
February 15 from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. at Historic Grayson Stadium
Savannah,
GA – The Savannah Sand Gnats will hold an open try-out this weekend
for anyone interested in performing the National Anthem at a 2014 Sand Gnats
game. Auditions will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 15
at Historic Grayson Stadium located at 1401 E. Victory Drive in Savannah, Ga.
“This is
a true sign that Opening Night is right around the corner,” said Sand Gnats
team president John Katz. “There is so much talent right here in Savannah, and
our fans always enjoy the patriotism that a live performance of the national
anthem brings to each and every home game.”
Performers
should be ready to sing “the Star-Spangled Banner,” for their audition. Groups
or individuals of all ages are welcome. A capella performers are preferred;
however, parties interested in acoustic or string accompaniment are also
welcome and should contact the Sand Gnats beforehand.

NIGHT, 2014
The Sand
Gnats will look to defend their South Atlantic League Championship, kicking off
the 2014 season at Historic Grayson Stadium against the Lakewood Blue Claws on
Thursday, April 3rd, 2014. Opening Night will feature live music, an
extended pre-game with host of family-friendly festivities and post-game
Fireworks. Opening Night will also feature Thirsty Thursday.
