The Wetherington Chiropractic Clinic Athlete of the Week- Memorial Day Football Player Irvin Riley 10.10.15

One of the outstanding running backs in the Savannah area is Memorial Day School senior Irvin Riley. Last year, the Blue Thunder football player rushed for 1,036 yards and scored 13 touchdowns helping Memorial Day School to their second straight Georgia Independent Schools Association (GISA) Class AA State title.

Riley did it again in a key GISA region match up against Robert Toombs Christian Academy on October 1^st. Irvin rushed for 209 yards, scored 5 touchdowns, 4 on runs of 53, 3, 47,14 yards and a 53-yard touchdown pass. Memorial Day School would go on to beat the Crusaders 42-21.


Riley, as of this writing has rushed for 673 yards, has 201 yards receiving and 12  touchdowns this season thus far. The Blue Thunder has one regular-season game left and then the GISA State playoffs. Irvin is receiving recruiting interest from schools such as Army, Kennesaw State and Georgia State.
