Wetherington Chiropractic Clinic Athlete of the Week-Savannah Country Day
8th Grade Football Player Mike Robertson Jr. 10.17.15
Mike Robertson Jr. is an 8th grade running back from Savannah Country Day
School, and he is turning heads in the college football world. Robertson is
getting interest and looks from some top-notch Division I SEC football
programs. They are the University of Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee.
Once again, he is only an eighth grader.
Well if you have football games like Mike did against Calvary Day School on
October 8th you would turn some heads also. In a 47-12 win by the
Hornets, Robertson scored five touchdowns, had three rushing touchdowns, caught
a 10-yard touchdown pass, and rushed for over 300 yards. On defense Mike had, 8
tackles forced 2 fumbles which one he snatched away from the running back and
returned it 50 yards for a touchdown and had a night to remember.
Robertson is highly ranked in the world of high school recruits for the
class of 2020. Mike is ranked as the number-one football athlete and number
three running back. Robertson represented Savannah, Georgia at the 2014 Eastbay
Youth All-American Bowl on December 20 in Naples, Florida as a seventh grader.
If you are wondering Mikes, cousin is senior Demetrius Roberston of Savannah
Christian Prep. So the talent is in the genes.
