Arts Academy – Tennis
Collins, a senior at Savannah Arts Academy, is
undefeated at 23-0 on the season as the No. 1 singles player on the undefeated Lady
Panthers tennis team. McKenzie signed a national letter of intent to play
tennis at Virginia Tech on April 12, 2016. Collins is an A student and is a
communication student at the Arts Academy. She plans on pursuing a major in business with a minor in marketing in college with a a possible career in broadcasting.
On Friday April 29th the Arts
Academy knocked off seven-time defending state champion Blessed Trinity and are
in the Georgia High School Association Girl’s Class AAA Tennis Championships on May 7th
at the Clayton County Tennis
Center. All said the Panthers are on the “Road to State” for a championship.
