Football Player junior John Wesley Kennedy 11.16.15
Last week's Wetherington Chiropractic Clinic Athlete of the Week was
Benedictine Military School football player junior John Wesley Kennedy. John
likes to go by Wes. Kennedy was nominated for his performance against Long
County High School on November 6th as he ran for 144 yards on 9 carries and two
touchdowns. On the night, Wes accounted for over 200 yards for the Cadets as
they clinched the region title and a number-one seed in the state playoff.
Kennedy finished the regular season scoring 25 touchdowns; 15 were on runs,
7 on passes, and 3 on special teams. Up to this point Wes has rushed for 958
yards on 108 caries, an average of 8.9 a carry, 707 yards on 27 receptions for
an average of 24 yards per catch, and 376 yards returned on 4 punts and 8 kickoff
returns for an average of 32 yards per return. Kennedy has a total of 2041
yards all-purpose yards for the Cadets this season. After Wes appeared on the
show, he was named the Coaches 2-AA Region Football Player of the Year. The amazing thing is Wes can do this from any postion on the gridiron and we get to watch him do this all over again next season. Congrats to John Wesley Kennedy on a truly outstanding season.

The Wetherington Chiropractic Clinic Athlete of the Week - Calvary Day School Volleyball Player Junior Hannah Carver 11.09.15
This week's Wetherington Chiropractic Clinic Athlete of the Week was Calvary
Day School Volleyball Player Junior Hannah Carver.
Hannah Carver a setter was one of the leading players this season for the GHSA State Class "A" volleyball champions the Lady Cavilers of Calvary Day School. On the season Hannah recorded, 950 assist; 105 ace; 182 digs, and 72 kills. That’s why Hannah is this week’s Wetherington Chiropractic Clinic Athlete of the Week.

Carver has been a three-year starter on the volleyball team. Coach Hannah Hunter said, "Hannah is a leader. The plays have to go through the setter, Hannah, and she is exceptional at setting her teammates up for kills. She also is positive, and her teammates thrive off of her. She loves and knows the game. She is a big part of our success."
Carver was named to the 1st team All-Area teams as well as the Co-Area Player of the Year with her cousin junior Landon Jones of Savannah Christian. Hannah returns next year with all her teammates except for two graduating seniors. The Cavaliers will have an exceptional group of players to defend their state title and Carver will be one of the returning juniors leading the way.

Local Cousins Assist and Spike All-Area 1 Co-Player of the Year Honors
GHSA ALL-AREA Volleyball Teams Announced and Local Cousins are the ALL-AREA
1- A Players of the Year - Hannah Carver Calvary Day School & Landon
Jones Savannah Christian Preparatory School
Hannah had over 900 assists as the setter for the Class A state champion Lady Cavaliers. Her cousin Landon had over 300 Kills and was an outside hitter for the Lady Red Raiders, who reached the Final Four.
Other Savannah Area volleyball players to make the team are; First team members included Anna Muller Savannah Country Day School; Claudia Chisolm, Calvary; Sara Daniels, Calvary; Southern Britt, Calvary; Emilee Wissmach, SCPS; Lainey Aenchbacher, SCPS; Sarah Allen, SCPS.
Second team—Abigail Kahn, SCD; Jessica Lanier, Calvary; Morgan Pearson, Calvary; Hannah White, SCPS; Woodville Tompkins Career High School. Congratulations to all the girls on making the ALL-AREA 2015 Volleyball Teams.
