This week's Wetherington Chiropractic Clinic Athlete of the Week was Calvary Day School Volleyball Player Junior Hannah Carver.
Hannah Carver a setter was one of the leading players this season for the
GHSA State Class "A" volleyball champions the Lady Cavilers of
Calvary Day School. On the season Hannah recorded, 950 assist; 105 ace; 182
digs, and 72 kills. That’s why Hannah is this week’s Wetherington Chiropractic
Clinic Athlete of the Week.
Carver has been a three-year starter on the volleyball team. Coach Hannah
Hunter said, "Hannah is a leader. The plays have to go through the setter,
Hannah, and she is exceptional at setting her teammates up for kills. She also
is positive, and her teammates thrive off of her. She loves and knows the game.
She is a big part of our success."
Carver was named to the 1st team All-Area teams as well as the Co-Area
Player of the Year with her cousin junior Landon Jones of Savannah Christian.
Hannah returns next year with all her teammates except for two graduating
seniors. The Cavaliers will have an exceptional group of players to defend
their state title and Carver will be one of the returning juniors leading the way.
