Play Ball in the MLB & MILB for Local Players

It's Play Ball on Opening Day of Major League Baseball for us, and South Effingham High School Alumni Josh Reddick is making the SAV proud as he gets the start in rightfield for the Oakland Athletics. Another player from the Savannah area John Gant earned a spot on the Atlanta Braves 25 man opening-day roster.

Three other players from Savannah will see action in Minor League Baseball  and are on minor league rosters. From South Effingham High School  JB Wendelkin is in the Oakland A’s farm system and two former Calvary Day School Cavaliers; Ryan Lawlor is with the Atlanta Braves and Dom DeMasi is with the Cleveland Indians.
