In the minor leagues, three former Calvary Day School Cavaliers had success on the mound. Two notching the win. In A ball, Ryan Lawlor (1-0) pitching for the Rome Braves, got the win with 1 1/3 innings of scoreless, two-hit relief and striking out three.
On the High A level, for the St. Lucie Mets, relief pitcher, Tyler Bashlor (1-0) got the win with two innings of scoreless relief while striking out four batters. In a loss for the Lynchburg Hillcats (Cleveland Indians) Dom DeMasi pitched two innings striking out two and holding the 1-0 lead. The Hillcats went on and lost the game 2-1.
