Moody Brothers Coming Back to the Savannah Bananas

SAVANNAH, GA.  – The Savannah Bananas are excited to announce the return of Logan Moody and Drew Moody of the University of Georgia for the 2017 season. The brothers were stand-outs both on and off the field during the Bananas inaugural season.
The younger of the two brothers, Logan Moody (SO OF/1B) returns to the Coastal Plain League after being named an all-star during the 2016 season. He was a regular fixture in the Bananas’ starting lineup, with a .351 batting average and 17 RBI over 97 plate appearances.
“Logan has a great baseball frame. He’s a very athletic young man who can play multiple positions. His versatility and athleticism make him another tremendous asset to our club,” says returning Bananas head coach, Sean West.

Drew Moody

In addition to being an asset to the Bananas pitching staff, Drew Moody (RS-JR RHP) was a leader in the locker room. Moody was 2-1 with a 2.90 ERA in 31 innings pitched, including two complete games.
“Drew is another returner who brings much more than baseball talent to our club. Drew has an un-orthodox delivery which is very deceptive to hitters. Drew is successful against wood bats because he pounds the strike zone and trust his defense behind him,” says West. “We are very excited to have Drew back this coming summer.”
