The Wetherington Chiropractic Clinic Athlete of the Week - AL Pesto 5.02.2015

This week’s Wetherington Chiropractic Clinic Athlete of the Week is senior baseball player AL Pesto from Benedictine Military School. This season Pesto has made 9 pitching appearances on the hill, has a 5-2 record with 2 saves, has a 0.57 earned run average, has 54 strikeouts in 37 innings with only 4 walks, and the opposing teams are only batting .143 against him.

In the classroom, Al has a 4.72 GPA. Pesto is the valedictorian (#1) of his class and has earned a scholarship to attend Duke University. Al has taken AP classes since 8th grade. Benedictine Head Baseball Coach Kevin Farmer stated, “Al works hard on and off the field. He excels on the baseball field because of his work ethic and does the same in the classroom.”
