Junior Summer Hendley
defended her High Jump title for the third time by winning the high jump event
with a height of 5 feet 2 inches at the Georgia High School Association's Class
A Private track meet last weekend, May 7-9. Summer finished second in the long jump and
anchored the Savannah Christian Prep 4x100-meter relay team this year.
Hendley is no stranger on
the winner’s platform over her three-year career she has an impressive
collection of medals from the GHSA state track meets. Summer has won three gold
medals in the high jump, and in the long jump event, she also has three medals.
Summer as a freshman won the gold, as a sophomore, the bronze and a silver this
year as a junior. Besides her feats on the track, Summer also is a cheerleader at Savannah Christian.
