This week's Wetherington Chiropractic Clinic ​Athlete of the Week is Richmond Hill high-school senior soccer player Nia Gordon.

The Lady Wildcat soccer team finished the season with a 19-1 record which was the best ever in Richmond Hill High School history according to Head Girl’s Soccer Coach Steven Kollman. Nia Gordon had a phenomenal season by leading the area with 59 goals scored with 11 assists. Gordon was one of the reasons the Lady Wildcats made a run to quarterfinals of the Georgia High School Association Class AAAAA state soccer championships.

Nia being one of the most prolific girl’s soccer players in the state of Georgia, earned her a full scholarship to continue her soccer career on the next level at the University of West Virginia. Gordon signed her National Letter of Intent to play college soccer on February 4, 2015. In two seasons at Richmond Hill Gordon scored 87 goals, had 16 assist, and did this in 37 games. “Nia was a blessing,” said Coach Kollman. “She made everybody better and was the ultimate team player. You could tell that her power, quickness, and knowledge of the game was at another level.” Congratulations Nia on an outstanding season and career.
